I am Danish and based in Copenhagen area. I have spend most of my professional life doing digital Design, in creative agencies and larger international corporations. I then rediscovered my love for analogue work and art in 2023, and ever since things have progressed rapidly with Exhibitions in Denmark and abroad, Gallery collaborations and lots of sold paintings.
Paintings
My paintings are colorful and contrasting – just like life. I get my inspiration from nature’s organic shapes, as well as from wild life and items around me.
I combine abstract and energetic brushstrokes with precise hyperrealism. The switch between the two contrasting techniques require different mindsets. It can be challenging but rewarding, as It allows me to express the vibrant and unpredictable nature of life.
When working on the big strokes and abstract elements, I embrace spontaneity and allow my wild side to come through. I use larger brushes and tools, enabling me to create bold, expressive movements. This approach allows for experimentation and unpredictability, which adds dynamism to the artwork.
On the other hand, when focusing on the realistic parts, meticulous control becomes crucial. Achieving a high level of detail and realism requires careful observation, precise brushwork, and a deep control of the colors. This part of the process involve using smaller brushes and taking the time to meticulously render each element with accuracy.
